The semi-final of the Duggan Steel u-14 Roinn B Football Championship took place on Thursday the 27th April 2017. Piltown travelled to Tullogher for the encounter against Tullogher Rosbercon.
Tullogher Rosbercon dominated the first half putting 1-3 on the scoreboard before Piltown registered their first point from Braedon Wheeler and that’s how the first half ended with Tulloger Rosbercon leading 1-3 to 0-1.
Piltown came out in the second half determined to change the course of the match. Determined they were and, within three minutes, scored 1-1 – a fine point from Braedon Wheeler and a great goal from Tom Reid from a Conor Oakey clearance to Darragh Dowd – to bring them within a point of Tulloger Rosbercon. However, Tullogher Rosbercon responded with two points and despite many brave attempts, Piltown could only add one more point to the scoreboard, a point from Darragh Dowd from a long ball in from Gavin Flynn. FT score Piltown 1-3 Tullogher Rosbercon 1-5.
