Our Piltown minors got off to a great start in the first round of the Honda Citroen Centre Minor B Football Championship on the 22nd February 2017 with a comprehensive win over Tullogher Rosbercon in a game that saw the lads raise the green flag ten times.
Adam Grace opened Piltown’s scoring with a goal in the first minute. Cian Kinsella notched up his first score with a point from a converted free in the second minute. Darragh Walsh scored a point in the fourth minute followed by another two from Cian Kinsella, one from a converted free. John Kenny added another for Piltown, a converted free in the thirteenth minute. Cian Kinsella pointed another in the fifteenth minute and goals from Aaron Kinsella, Cian Kinsella and Eoin Fitzgerald took us to the twentieth minute. Darragh Walsh added another point followed by a goal from Oisin Coffey in the twenty eight minute. Tullogher closed out the first half with a goal in the thirty first minute. HT score Piltown 5-7 Tullogher Rosbercon 1-0.
Cian Kinsella opened the second half with two points, one from a converted free. Tullogher added two more points, one from a converted free. A Cian Kinsella point from a penalty, followed by goals from John Kenny and sub Aidan Walsh brought us to the forty fourth minute. Three more points in quick succession from Adam Grace, Cian Kinsella and Eoin Fitzgerald preceded two goals from Aidan Walsh and 1-1 from Darragh Walsh to close out the match.
