Yes

The Piltown Minors travelled to John Locke Park yesterday (Friday 14th April) for the Special Minor 13 Aside Competition. The lads put in a good performance but unfortunately came up short against a very strong John Lockes team.

Piltown got off to a great start with a lovely point from Daryl Maye, followed shortly after by a fine goal from John Kenny. Callan pointed from a converted free in the fourth minute and Daryl Maye added a second to his tally in the seventh minute. Callan’s wing forward scored for the home side in the eight minute. John Kenny added another to the Piltown scoreline with a finely taken sideline ball. Callan then went on the attack and dominated the rest of the first half scoring three goals (one from a penalty) and six points before John Kenny closed out the half with another point. HT score: Piltown 1-4 Callan 3-8

The second half began with a Callan trading points with Adam Grace, Robert Tobin & John Kenny before Callan struck with another goal in the 45th minute. Callan added another point from a converted free & John Kenny finished out the match with three points, two from converted frees. FT score: Piltown 1-10 John Lockes 4-11.
